tangled mess

We are just about finished painting our living room. It has been a multi -stage process occurring mostly during Colin's outings with grandma and his naps. I also took the opportunity to clean up this mess behind the TV. This is the before... the after is still pretty ugly so I didn't take a picture. There were numerous orphaned cables that were no longer used but were lodged in the mess. I mounted the power strips under the lip of the table and every thing is now coiled semi-neatly and is off the floor. We gained about 5 more inches of living room by moving a few things around so we could push the mess closer to the wall. I didn't any new functionality so it was basically just a clean up job and not a full re-wire. This task is half chore and half hobby, but is a lot more fun when you are adding something instead of just cleaning
